comedy festival! A tad hung over this morning...but I'm hangin tuff.

Heading to the East Coast this Weekend - June 1, 2009
Heading to the East coast this weekend. Performing at the Stress Factory for the first time Thurs - Sun! Can't wait to spend some time in NYC. Vegas was poppin. I don't know what will happen to the Kobe and Lebron puppets, now that Lebron's gon fishing...Maybe there is a Dwight Howard puppet comin up...Who knows.

Memorial Day Weekend - May 26, 2009
Had a kick ass time at the Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale this past Memorial Day weekend, now it's on to Vegas. I will be at the Mirage this Friday and Saturday night. It's been a while since I played there, so I am looking forward to it. Been very busy with the DWTS finale and then the Dance Flick premiere. Ran into Jamie Foxx on the flight to Miami on Thursday and flew back with John Whitherspoon on the flight yesterday...good seeing both of them ! GO LAKERS !!!

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Post Finale - May 22, 2009
Well...
Here we are in beautiful Miami! I totally forgot it's Memorial day weekend. It's a big booty biker fest!!!! Can't wait to perform at the Ft. Lauderdale Hard Rock this weekend. Loved seeing everyone at DWTS for the finale. Very sad saying good bye to my dance partner Kymzee.
We were all shocked when Shaun was announced the winner. I thought Gilles had it locked down...That being said, I think Shawn and Mark did a wonderful job but now it's time for me to get to steppin. Went to the Dance Flick premiere, and had a B-A-L-L !!!! Gotta go shopping for a brand new speedo !!!! -

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Finale Prep - May 13, 2009
Well, well, well...
We dance again. Kym and I started rehearsing for the DWTS finale next week! We will be dancing the Fox Trot. It's great to see Kymzee, and be kicking once more. Also, this weekend I'm going to beautiful Palm Beach F-L-A !!!! Puttin it down at the Improv Friday-Sunday. You know people are funny...Now, every single person I run into says to me "I voted for you David" Thank you to all of you who DID vote Kym and I. I didn't know there was sooooo much love in the world! -

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Week 5 - April 9, 2009
Well, I have been voted off of the island. This morning I threw my dance shoes in the dumpster, and it's back to the salt mine for me. I would like to thank all of the people that voted for us and supported Kym and I on the show. That being said, I wish all of the remaining competitors luck. It was great to meet them and get to know them, and I will see them all at the finale...if the producers and ABC actually let me back into the building.

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Pre-Week 5 - April 6, 2009
New Blog Page - read new and old blogs from DAG. Tonight, Kym and I are performing what I think is our most complete dance so far. By that I mean, we tried to create a dark, moody, and sexy, story told all within the confines of the Viennese Waltz. I love the song we are dancing to "I Put A Spell On You" arranged by Nina Simone!!! Kym choreography is BANGIN as always!!! We want to take you places! Can't wait...Next week is the Rhumba, but we have to get there first. VOTE-VOTE-VOTE!!!!

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Week 4 - April 1, 2009
I hate Tuesdays. As they whittled down the couples last night, we went from "I know we're safe" to "Let me get my farewell speech ready"...very nerve wracking. But...We are S-A-F-E !!! ON to next week. Kym and I are dancing the Viennese Waltz. Our song is "I Put A Spell On You". A mysterious, and moody arrangement. I'm really excited about it. Kym is working on some beautiful choreography and I am eating my breakfast getting ready to head back into battle. We have to step up our game every week now cause they are chopping heads, and it's no joke. Thank you to everyone for all of your online support. We dance on...

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Pre-Week 4 - March 30, 2009
Tonight, Kym and I dance the Lindy Hop...This has got to be the most aerobic dance of the competition, AND the dances are getting longer! I rescheduled all of my road gigs for next few weeks so that Kym and I would have plenty of uninterrupted rehearsal time. I have to make all of my new friends at the Lindy Groove proud by doin it, to it tonight!!!! Can't wait. I will have a lot of friends and supporters in the crowd cheering us on. I think we have a great dance, and Kym did a fantastic job! LET'S DANCE !!!

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Week 3 - March 24, 2009
I woke up this morning and I felt like I'd been beat with a stick. Kym is getting over a bad sore throat, I had the stomach flu, the baby was sick, and my wife had a cold...Damn, damn, damn!!!! But I feel sooooooo good!!! We finally kicked properly last night! Got good scores 24, and the judges don't know but we are bout to take you even H-I-G-H-E-R next week with the Lyndey Hop. Today is Torture Tuesday...We are not safe yet, but at least Kym and I feel confident going into it. We are already thinking about next weeks routine, and I will work even harder to make it happen captain!

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Pre-Week 3 - March 23, 2009
This week, I have worked harder than E-V-E-R in rehearsal. Kym and I feel great going into tonight and hope with this performance we can turn things around. In the words of Shakespeare..."I shall shine brite! " WE have a kick ass routine. Kym really out did herself choreographing it, and we tried to address the judges comments last week that they felt I didn't dance enough. We shall see. Next, we have the Lyndey Hop and Kym and I will def take you HIGHER !!! FYI: I struck a dance pose when I got out of the car the other day for my 13 month old baby daughter LULU. When I came home that night she stuck her leg up in the air just like me laughing......SOOOOOOOOCUTE!!!!!

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Week 2 - March 16, 2009
Okaaaaaaay,
Last night was brutal. Again the judges were smoking crack! I don't know what's going on with our scores but today everyone is freaked out by this elimination round. Here's the deal...If Steve O is in the dance off, they are going to play his rehearsal tape AGAIN, and judge it while the other couple will have to dance LIVE????? W-H-A-T T-H-E H- E-L-L ??? What else...I just wish for once the judges would actually score Kym and I fairly, but I guess they say what they are told to say to whom they are told to say it. I had to remind myself AGAIN that this is NOT a ball room dancing competition, it's a cheesy reality show that unfortunately I signed up for. That being said, I will continue to work as hard as I can to dance as well as I am able. Your job is to...VOTEFORME !!!!!! -

Dancing with the Stars Blog - Week 1 - March 10, 2009
Okaaaaaaaay,
Just finished my first dance and this was the longest day I've had since I put on that 75 pound fat suit for "Dance Flick"! I have been up since 5:30 AM. It is now 10:00 PM. I was totally fine until right before Kym and I went on. She looked at me asked DAG...DAG??? Are you okay? I felt dizzy and nauseous, I thought I was going to puke. I should've eaten, but I thought that a plate of cheesy lasagna they served for din din would give me gas. I told myself I've done Broadway, standup, drama, and comedy on stage and in film for over twenty years and now I gonna be taken out by DWTS??????? H-E-L-L N-O !!!! It's time to kick, and kick high. So we headed out on stage. The routine went well. It was a challenge for me. The judges ripped us a new one, but at the end of the day we made through and now it's on to next week, when I will salsa my protruding booty off!
