David Alan Grier,
I am very disappointed and upset with your conduct on this weekend after your performance in Race. I'm not sure if you will be reading this but, for those that will: my sister and I dropped everything and purchased last minute tickets to see this play as it was your last day and you shunned us on your way out. Other actors, when leaving, stopped to sign autographs and take pictures, but you couldn't even say hello to the 4 (literally 4) of us standing in the rain waiting to congratulate you before slamming the door and pulling off? That is wrong on so many levels. I was hurt, and very much disgusted with that. I thought you did a wonderful job in the play, however after that horrific display of snobbery my sister nor I will be supporting any of your projects again anytime soon.
I know that our voice may not mean much to you in the grand scheme of things...but without your fans where would you be? A little common courtesy, that's all we were looking for. A simple smile, wave of your hand something....but no you just hopped in your truck and took off....Well I hope it was worth it b/c you certainly lost us as fans.
Offended & Upset

Listen David. Help me. Naw...Help us.
After following your works of genuis for many years now and realizing the power of a great comedian, of which you certainly are, I get a good feel for some of the things that you stand for. I certainly hope that this stupid azz fad of SAGGING PANTS isn't one of them.I read your book and know that your Mom and Dad raised you better.
Make them stop it David. It's beyond deplorable.
How? you might ask.
Listen, I invisioned you doing a skit as one of your gay characters Thanking all the males for the 'peep show' and laughed out loud at the possibility of how you would do it and thinking about how what would come out of that brilliant mind of yours would embarrass them to stop showing their drawers and humilating their families. Are these future D. L. candidates? I really hate this fad. HELP US DAVID ALLEN GRIER
Please CONSIDER it. Create a Butt loving character that encourages the Saggin' look and entices men to do it and I betcha' things will change. Whatever you do, Keep being Smart& Funny. -

Anyone remember the bit DAG did on In Living Color where he's a nightclub entertainer (complete with tacky white tuxedo) with a Korean hand puppet ("Kim"), a liquor store owner? In the bit, he acts out the experience of a black guy in a korean-owned liquor store (Q: "Hey man, why you keep following me around?" A: "You buy something now!").
I've tried and failed to find a clip of this great bit on the internets. -

This was question & comment was sent to Comedy Central today.
"Will Chocolate News get a new season?? David Allen Griers show was THE BEST sketch comedy show you aired since Dave Chapelle's Show!!! Everything about Chocolate News was exciting, creative, funny & thought provoking. It is a true shame that excellent, quailty African American themed comedy shows like Chocolate News are so rare, far & few in between! Chocolate News was like NOTHING ever aired on TV before and it SHOULD be considered for a new season...PLEASE!!!!!! There is an entire demographic of good people that NEED & WANT to WATCH this type of comedy show!!!"
David will there be any new Chocolate News in 2010??
Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and making us ALL feel something GOOD Brotha! :) Ivy ~ -

Dearest David, There are lots of men that are funny, talented and handsome. But the kindness and compassion that I just saw from you, towards your beautiful family, on "Clean House" was so heartfelt, classy and what makes the world a better place. Amen brother. Hugs from the wild west -

David:
You are by far one of the most hilarious comedians of all time. I have followed your career from the beginning. You are extremely talented. I have a request if you would be so kind to honor. I have a radio show called "Wine Talk with Stu The Wine Guru". I would love for you to call into the show and be my guest. How can I make this happen. I have celeb guests on and we discuss careers, the biz, wine, food and any cause or organization they are passionate about. Of course I would be glad to plug your Stand Up Tour, DVD's and anything you like. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks- Stu -

David i like the video when you did Poots and Toots i never laughed so hard in my life. I tell people about this video and we watch it all the time. We do reruns every chance we get and laught our fools heads off. You are the greatest when it comes to comedy. There are some others that i like but this one beats them all right now anyway. -

Hello, Mr Grier
Thank you very much for autographing your book "Barack Like Me" given to me by my friend yesterday. I agree with you when you said that "beige is the new Black" its true, everyone wants to be a malto. I haven't gotten far in the book but so far, it's really funny and insightful. I would really urge everyone to go and pick up a copy of your book. David you are very talented, loved your part in the movie "Dance Flick" very funny.
P.S. I also want to thank you for Las Vegas, I was the female sitting in the front row and you selected me to bring up on stage to sing too. I thought that was really cool, and most people after the show thought it was apart of the act; that is just how good your performance was. I had to convince people that I wasn't apart of the act, Iam just a fan from Jersey catching the show. So thanks once again, your very talented and keep doing what you are doing. -

DAG:
Just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do. You are truly talented, and I'd love a chance to see you live. Have you every considered booking some shows in the Pacific Northwest? Please give it some thought as many of your fans reside in this part of the U.S. BTW your daughter is beautiful.

I'm out of your normal demographic, I'm sure, but I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, and how wonderful and sweet I thought you were with the young vacuum cleaner collector. That showed class, something sadly missing from most performers of your generation. I'm definitely impressed! -

Mr. Grier,
Thank you for coming to Addison. I really enjoyed your show this past Friday. I especially loved when you told the blond to shut up. She started it having the nerve to wave her finger at someone...hahahahahahahaha!!!! She walked out the show talking smack about you too...I will never go see him and then her boyfriend was like I enjoyed it. She was just mad that you checked her. It made me think about on Norbit when Rasputia/Eddie said, "Don't you ever talk to me again...ever!" She was a real beatch! It was a shame she acted like that though, who cares you are the star man. Don't you ever forget that!!!! Keep it up...if its chocolate keep bring it to us!!!
